Great. Another thing to do.  Mom just called and is out of her pills.  Of course she didn’t tell me two days ago when I asked.  She always does this.  Now I have to either leave home (again) right when dinner is done or first thing in the morning.  

I never get a break!!!

Does this sound all too familiar?  It does for most caregivers.

You don’t allow yourself to rest or take breaks or vacations.

You do so well taking care of others but you don’t take care of yourself.

Maybe you’re miserable at work.  Yea, your job is stressful.  Add on your belief that you have to push yourself so hard because you don’t know how else you will support your family.

You’re not alone. 

Take a deep breath.  It doesn’t have to be that way.

Believe it or not, your lack of energy is something you need in your life right now.

In each of these situations, you are believing that, somehow, there isn’t going to be enough for you to experience what you want.

Fatigue is a physical manifestation of an emotional fear or, a belief in not enough.  It could be anything; not enough money, not enough time, not enough people to take responsibility for themselves.

Fatigue is your catalyst for change.

I challenge you to dig deep and ask yourself what you’re lacking.  You may not have to dig deep at all, it may be right on the surface.

What do you feel you don’t have enough of in your life?

Why are you so fatigued?  Do you work 40+ hours a week?  Have multiple jobs?  Care for others (besides your patients)?
